There are many types of rare flowers throughout the world. Some we know about and some are found so deep in the rainforest that we are yet to even know of their existence. I often think about these unknown plants and wonder if they hold the key to the many cures our world has been searching for. I am very big into natural medicine and I think this earth has everything we need to heal, growing right on it. One rare flower that I enjoyed learning about it called the Jane vine.
This flower is very beautiful in color, ranging from a teal blue to a mint green. It is most common in its blue color and called a vine because of the ropey way it grows. This plant comes from the pea family and has thick, curled flowers growing along it. The Jade vine is typically found growing in the Philippines. It is one of the most difficult flowers to grow and is difficult to propagate. Because the Jade vine has a hard time protecting itself from natural pests and pollutants, the flower is slowly but surely disappearing from the world.
It will be sad to see this flower go; as it is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen to date. Unfortunately, it is hard to save the species because it can only grow in weather like the Philippines and the area has too many natural enemies for the flower to thrive. Hopefully we can find a way to keep these flowers alive and growing. Maybe we’ll use a man-made habitat instead of turning an eye while it goes extinct forever.
